1 teaspoon Fennel Seeds
1 Bayleaf
1 Green Chillies slit lengthwise

5 large Tomatoes finely chopped or pureed
4 tablespoons Wonder Merawala Meat Masala
1 tablespoon Wonder’s Mera Wala kasuri Methi optional but highly recommended
1 tablespoon Ghee or Butter
1 tablespoon Salt

Mutton Curry is a succulent Indian Curry dish which comprises of tender meat, simple ingredients and flavored with spices. In this recipe, soft mutton chunks are cooked in spiced onion-tomato gravy which makes it a true delicacy. Mutton Curry can be paired with any kind of Indian flatbread such as tandoori roti, Butter Naan, Garlic Roti or rice. Made with simple ingredients, this quintessential recipe has everything that any meat lover would love to dig in the recipe.

Mutton curry is usually prepared during special occasions or on festivals. Typically belong to Bihar and Bengal, mutton curry is a famous north Indian dish which is made of goat or lamb meat and spices along with other ingredients. Being tender and succulent, this dish is preferred by many meat lovers because of its distinctive taste.

To start with the recipe, rinse and wash the mutton pieces thoroughly under running water and let it dry. Once mutton pieces are dry, add Wonder Mera Wala Turmeric Powder over the meat and rub all over. Keep it aside.

Take a large pan and put it over medium flame and melt 4 tbsp of ghee in it. Once the ghee is melted, sauté fennel seeds, and bay leaf in it for one minute. Add green chili, onions into the pan and sauté till onions are translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until their raw smell goes away.

Add tomato puree and stir all the ingredients well. Add Wonder Mera Wala Mutton Masala, red chili powder and mix it well.

Once you see oil leaving at the edges, add mutton, and a cup of water and give a nice stir to coat the mutton pieces evenly with the sautéing mixture. Put the lid on and cook it for some time. If case you are using a stovetop pressure cooker, and then cook the mutton on high pressure for 25-30 minutes or until 4-5 whistles.

In case of electric pressure cooker or an instant pot, cook the mutton curry for around 25 minutes. make sure to let the pressure release naturally for better flavor

Once you notice that the pressure is released, open the pressure cooker’s lid and turn on the flame. Let the mutton curry simmer on low heat. Add a little water if you feel that gravy is too thick and cook it for a while.

Add Wonder Mera Wala Kasuri Methi and ghee in the last step and simmer it for another 3-4 minutes. You can adjust the gravy consistency and seasoning to your liking. Serve hot with rice or Naan.
